just out of curiosity is there anyway to beef up a healer? with DI3 that is spent after a few seconds of entering a battle due to the insane damage output by people and the 10 min recast times of every spell, it seems they need to have di improved, and insta spells lowered in cast timers. 10 minutes is way to long for spells when other spells with insta snare and root and such get them back much quicker. it isn't like we can melee or do any damage what so ever.

so decrease insta mezz / stun to like 1 min and the heals to like 5 mins? that would make them more viable in RvR because Hey, not every shaman or healer is just a buff bot.

You are a group class in full support on a healer, and your group mates bear the responsibility of keeping you alive. You have instant everything and are hands down the best support in daoc. While it sucks to get owned, your groupmates are owning it up on their custom classes aplenty. Have someone be a designated peeler instead of a designated hitter, which hopefully reduces (though i doubt it would) their dps. To ask for more cc and heals is insane, especially on the grand poobah of cc and heals. Do I get free determination and an anytime super bomb on my classic classes in your vision, or just incapacitated more and totally removed from the possibility of taking you out?

Perhaps look around at the mega dps and consider balancing what is hulk smashing you down so much. You wont have far to look, since all of your guild runs the OP custom classes you are moaning about hurting you.

More CC and more heals and faster timers on a healer is preposterous. Shame on you.

play a healer like a greased up deaf guy. being mobile and versatile looks a lot cooler than asking for more insta skills.

faithfully yours,

I think what Kross is trying to get across is the super short re-use timers on CC spells of other classes. Juggs get a PBAOE Mez, it's on a short timer. Shape Shifters get a stun, again on a short timer. If the healer class is meant to be the mecca of CC, why then wouldn't his tricks be more readily available to be somewhat on par as those classes that should not be considered CC to begin with? Not to mention, the shear frustration it is here to try and CC when every other style or random purifier add can screw up in the matter of two swings.

Also as far as heals, the alchimest gets a two minute instant group heal which delves 500 with a 50% buffer of 500. If you take that out to 10 minutes time, that is 5000 total hitpoints in the same amount of time, of which a healer gets a % life based heal. While using this on a few tanks nets a nice amount. 3000 per ten minutes, it also returns a lower number on smaller hitpoint charecters. Coupled with every class having some ability to heal, some of which heal very well compared to a healer. ( even without the factor of the buffer it nets 2500 to everyone not based on max hitpoints)

I feel all realms main healing and CC classes should have a peak taken at them.

in instances you provided are instants only. a WELL PLAYED healer doesnt depend on instances 100% of the time, thats why they have castable cc, root, stun, mez, amnesia. that has no recast timer. youre asking him to cheese-ball the best group class in the game for the sake of not having to pan, kite, amnesia and mez a group for over a minute. i disagree that the healer in its original nature is an obsolete crowd controller even with the custom classes.
